Using Savvas on an Apple Device

We have had several recent requests for app support with Savvas on personal iPads and Mac Books. While students may bring in their own devices as part of an approved BYOD program, we highly recommend BYOD devices are limited to Chromebooks. This is due to the complexities of Apple software and the security hazards of Windows laptops that do not have updated operating systems and antivirus protection.

However, we do understand that this is not always possible. If you have a student on a personal Apple device, they MUST disable the automatic blocking of cross-site tracking on their device security preferences in order for Savvas to allow them to log in.

We also recommend checking the minimum system requirements for Savvas Realize. You will see a note under the table for disabling the setting to prevent cross-site tracking.

Staffing Update

As we face unprecedented times in our district, our team will be working to support the daily operation of our schools for the remainder of the month. We are excited about the opportunity to connect with some of you on a more personal level. For the remainder of the month, it will be extremely important to use our instructional app support request form versus an email to an individual team member. Depending on our daily responsibilities, we may not have a chance to respond immediately to emails but as a team, we will continue to check the form as frequently as possible. Thank you for your understanding!
