The NC Department of Administration's Lady Cardinal Mentorship Program is now accepting applications for this five-week paid summer enrichment opportunity for rising junior and senior girls who are interested in careers in the science, technology, engineering, and/or math fields within state government.


Program at-a-glance: 
- 40-hour work week (Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm)
- Paid program: June 27-August 5, 2022
- Exposure to careers in state government
- Visits to various state government agencies
- Network with women leaders across state agencies
- $2,100 stipend upon mentorship completion

The North Carolina Business Committee for Education’s Ready, Set, App! Challenge is a mobile app development competition for high school students sponsored by Lenovo™. Student groups are asked to develop a mobile app using a mobile app development platform (e.g., MIT App Inventor) to solve a problem in their school or community.


Ready, Set, App! focuses on three primary pillars:
    • Mobile App Development

    • Professional and Personal Development

    • Interpersonal and Soft Skills Development

The Doodle for Google contest offers students K-12 an opportunity to display their own Doodle creativity on Google.com and win some awesome prizes while doing it!

This year's theme is "I care for myself by..."

Doodle for Google is an annual art contest open to students in grades K-12. Students are invited to create their own Google Doodle for the chance to have it featured on Google.com, as well as win some great scholarships and tech packages for their schools.


Check out the instructions on the How it works page and be sure to use the Enter page to send us Doodles before the March 4 deadline. Ready-to-use lessons that integrate creativity and collaboration skills can be found under the Educator resources page.
