School Library Media Coordinator Professional Portfolio Template

Looking for a way to document and highlight your work in the school library media center and school community that you can easily share with your administrators and colleagues? Want to show off all of the amazing things you are doing that may sometimes feel like they go unnoticed? If so, check out the School Library Media Coordinator Professional Portfolio Google Sites Template I've created for our SLMCs (shared with all media coordinators in the the 2021-22 media coordinator folder).

The template aligns with the NC School Library Media Coordinator Evaluation Instrument and can be easily shared with anyone who you'd like to see it.

Each Standard has its own page which lists and links to each Element which also have their own pages. This allows you to easliy add and organize your artifacts. When you share your Professional Portfolio Google Site, this makes it easy for administrators or colleagues to find your artifacts and their alignment with the Standards. This is very useful come time for evaluations.

To access the template, go to the "2021-22 Media Coordinator" shared folder in Google Drive and find the subfolder named "Professional Info & Resources" and then "SLMC Portfolio". Within that folder, you should see the smaller tile for the JCPS SLMC Professional Portfolio Google Site Template (see screenshots below).

Right click on the template tile in the folder and choose “Make a Copy”. This will create a copy for you to use throughout the school year to document your evidence and artifacts demonstrating the descriptors of the five NC SLMC Standards and accompanying performance elements.

Once you make a copy of the template, you will want to rename, edit, and personalize your Google Site SLMC professional portfolio as needed.

Share you professional portfolio Google Site with administrators at the end of the school year, share best practices with fellow media coordinators, reflect on areas that you can work on in the future, and feel proud of all that you have accomplished throughout the school year!

If you have any questions, need help getting started, or a crash course on how to edit Google Sites, please reach out to Stephanie (StephanieHaumont@johnston.k12.nc.us) or give me a call at extension 4012 so we can set up some time to work on this together.
