Battle of the Books Competition Dates Have Been Set!

The following dates have been set for our Battle of the Books District Competitions:

Middle School: Friday, February 25th, 2022 (Virtual)

High School: Friday, March 11th, 2022 (Virtual)

Elementary School: Friday, March 18th, 2022 (Virtual)

NC Digital Learning and Media Inventory

The NC DLMI will be due in June 2022. All inventories will be due by June 2022. More information will be forthcoming.

Media PLC Meeting Dates for October

Elementary - Tuesday, October 19th from 4:30pm to 5:30pm (bumping up time based on feedback)

Middle - Thursday, October 21st from 3pm to 4pm

High - Tuesday, October 26th from 2:30pm to 3:30pm

We will be jumping in to collection development plans!

From ALA's website: "TeenTober is a new, nationwide celebration hosted by libraries every October and aims to celebrate teens, promote year-round teen services and the innovative ways teen services helps teens learn new skills, and fuel their passions in and outside the library. TeenTober replaces YALSA’s previous Teen Read Week™ and Teen Tech Week™ celebrations, allowing libraries the flexibility to celebrate all types of literacies according to their library’s schedule. Library staff are encouraged to utilize this new celebration to advocate for and raise awareness of the importance of year-round teen services in libraries."
