Panther Scanners

As we are beginning to finalize inventories a few of you have indicated that your panther doesn't work with the new wireless system.  If you are in such a predicament you might need to do the following to get your panther up and working again.<br /> <br /> <ul> <li>1. Update your device's firmware, here is the document with directions: <a href="https://drive.google.com/a/johnston.k12.nc.us/?tab=mo#folders/0B6tdCo4ORZfeTmJLdUVuYXJja1U">https://drive.google.com/a/johnston.k12.nc.us/?tab=mo#folders/0B6tdCo4ORZfeTmJLdUVuYXJja1U</a> </li> <ul> <li>You might also need to download ActiveSync if you haven't already done so: <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15">http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15</a></li> <li>It is suggested that your device be plugged into a USB 2.0 port - on most of our models this would be the ports on the back of the computer.</li> <li>If you have trouble the expert on this is Donna Tart (donnatart@johnston.k12.nc.us) at South Johnston - she has indicated willingness to entertain questions if needed.</li> </ul> <li>2. Get your technician to enter the wireless key - then keep your device charged so the key isn't lost.</li> </ul>
