SMART Notebook 11

Over the summer, SMART Notebook 11 will be installed in the Novell and AD environments.   Please note that Notebook 10.8, which is what we currently have, looks quite different.

The toolbar is obviously different, but there are major improvements within the software, as well.  Please pass on to the teachers at your school that the technology Reinvention Convention will offer professional development for the new features of Notebook 11.  You, as well as the teachers at your school, can sign up at <a href="http://bit.ly/jcsreinvent">bit.ly/jcsreinvent</a>.

Very important for middle and high schools! 
Before your school gets SMART 11, Math Tools software needs to be uninstalled.  Please make this part of the checkout verification you send to Michelle Turnage at the end of the school year.  This is very important.  Remember, Smart Notebook and Math Tools are separate products that require different product keys.  If Math Tools is not uninstalled at the end of this school year, the product key assigned to the math teacher will be "used" and it will not be able to be reused once 11 is on and you try to re-install.  For directions on uninstalling, click <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/11F1b9VKfoW61AJMOnG6c6N1ieWCON8HXvtLF5lDxzDY/edit?usp=sharing">here</a>.

We just wanted to give you all a heads up that stock on the SDC330 has been depleted and the promotional price has ended. 
 
Please remember that ALL SMART Boards  have to be registered within the first year. We are almost to the year point with the boards purchased last year by the county.  You can go to the SMART website to register your board: <a href="http://smarttech.com/Product+Registration">http://smarttech.com/Product+Registration</a>. 
 
If you aren't sure,  please check to make sure your boards are registered.  This extends the warranty to 5 years.  The option we talked about yesterday at our quarterly meeting can extend beyond this.
