Voting Open Through April 22nd, 2022!



The North Carolina Children's Book Award program is a children's choice program sponsored by school and public librarians in North Carolina and is designed to introduce children to current children's literature and to instill a love of reading. See the website HERE for all of the details.


Invite your students to vote for their favorite books from the list before the April 22nd deadline. There are two categories! 


Picture Book Nominees:
  • Students read or listen to at least five of the nominees (see them all HERE)
  • Once students have read or listened to at least five nominees, students vote online HERE by the April 22nd deadline.


Junior Book Nominees: 
  • Students read or listen to at least three of the nominees (see them all HERE)
  • Once students have read or listened to at least three nominees, students vote online HERE.

School Librarian Resources: 
There are great teacher librarian resources available on the North Carolina Children's Book Award Blogspot to help promote and facilitate participation in this year's program. Check out flyers, activities, bookmarks, and more HERE to get started with this fun program at your school.
