To help you get started with your grant application, see the full list of benefits for school use of StickTogether HERE.

If you aren't familiar with StickTogether, these are activities which are easy, low-tech ways that allow students of all abilities and primary languages the opportunity to collaborate and communicate with others. There are so many ideas to integrate StickTogether into your school library space:
  • Brain breaks
  • Zen dens
  • Computational thinking
  • Spatial reasoning
  • STEAM/ STEM
  • Pixel art
  • Teamwork
  • Occupational therapy
  • Schoolwide collaborations
  • SEL
  • And more!

At my previous school, I implemented a StickTogether program for my high schoolers and it was a hit. I originally wanted to use it to launch "Get Caught Reading" Month in May and as a rewards system for positive behaviors, acts of kindness, and book check outs/ returns. I offered three color tiles to students for checking out books, four color tiles for checking in books, five tiles for students who "got caught reading," and tiles to students who I saw being kind and helpful. It was an easy and fun programming idea.

Good luck to those who apply for the grant! If you have questions about StickTogether, or need some ideas to help you complete the grant, please reach out. If you have implemented StickTogether activities at your school, please tell us about it in the comments.
