Awards:
NCSLMA Media Coordinator of the Year: Presented to a media coordinator, or team of media coordinators at one school, in recognition of outstanding performance in the school library media center.
NCSLMA Frances Bryant Bradburn Distinguished Service Award : The award will be presented annually to recognize an individual or organization for contributions to NCSLMA and/or school library media programs throughout the state of North Carolina.
NCSLMA Administrator of the Year: The award will be presented annually to recognize an administrator who has made an outstanding contribution(s) to advancing the role of the school library media program in the state of North Carolina.

NCSLMA Scholarships: Two scholarships, each in the amount of $1000, will be presented annually to increase the number and quality of school library media personnel in North Carolina.

AASL First-Time Attendee Scholarship
NCSLMA First Time Attendee AASL National Conference Travel Grant in the amount of $1000 will be given to one (1) first-time attendee to be used towards travel, hotel, and/or registration fees for the AASL 18th National Conference & Exhibition, November 9-11, 2017.
Grants:
Read 2 Succeed: NCSLMA Read 2 Succeed grants are available to K-12 NCSLMA member media coordinators (certified or provisional) in public or private schools, in partnership with classroom teachers, for innovative projects that foster the integration of media / information skills into the K-12 curriculum. The focus is on individual media coordinators and teachers rather than on district-wide projects. Up to five (5) one-year grants totaling $1,000 each will be awarded.

Action Research Grant: The North Carolina School Library Media Association (NCSLMA) is pleased to offer an Action Research Grant for a school library media coordinator or an advanced library student who is a member of NCSLMA. Applications should include research-based proposals that focus directly on the effects of innovative strategies on student learning in the school library media center.
