This week Google has released a new feature for Docs called add-ons. Add-ons allow you add other features and tools within your document. This is what it looks like in a Google Doc:
Once you click on it, a menu will appear to "Get add-ons" this looks very similar to the Chrome web store.
Click on a add-on to get more information about what it adds to Google Docs.
Once you have found an add-on you would like, click the + icon to add it.
EasyBib is a free bibliography and research tool that easily inserts citations and footnotes in MLA and APA styles.
Lucidchart Diagrams is another good tool that allows you to add diagrams to your documents in a quick and efficient manner.
You can access and manage your add-ons at any time by clicking on the add-ons menu.
The add-ons feature is brand new and many more add-ons will be made available over the next few weeks.
