This message is to all sites with the
exception of Clayton Middle, Archer Lodge Middle, Cleveland Middle,
South Campus, Ealry and Middle College, and the district offices.
Good morning - If we have installed the Cisco Enterprise
Wireless in your school this summer and a Rogue Access Point(s) is
connected to the network, your enterprise wireless network will not function properly.
Please make sure that any Access Points, even the ones from last year
with "JCSWIRELESS" as the SSID, are removed and NOT connected to the
network.
If you are experiencing issues with your wireless and
your are certain no Rogue Access Point(s) are connected to the network,
please realize we are still configuring and tweaking the controllers
that manage the Access Points.
OLD Wireless SSID: JCSWIRELESS (Note: If you see
this SSID in the list of available wireless networks, then a rouge AP is
connected)
NEW Wireless SSID: JCS_WIRELESS

We
had 1 mistake in the presentation so please make a note of this
change: 3rd Quarter meeting is FEBRUARY 12 not March. I have fixed it
on the presentation/blog but wanted to make sure those who wrote down
the dates that you make that adjustment. Thanks to Christa for catching
this error.
We only had about 1/3 of you respond to the CTA training needs - if you could take just a minute to do that we would really appreciate it. We want to get as many of those on the calendar as we can. http://bit.ly/CTATraining
If you need to be added to the CTA Training list please let me know, we hope to have this completed and ready for you to begin by the end of next week. If you are not the only contact at your school please touch base with your partner and make sure they got the email, if they didn't I need to adjust the email group, I fear I have missed someone with all the new faces today.
