Updates

We have been working on an update to our google and that has just been complete today - all staff and students who have a novell or AD login should now have an active email and you should again be able to see your students to adjust passwords (within the dashboard).  Students can reset passwords in google but are not forced to do so, so resets shouldn't be as big an issue as they were last year.<br />

We are applying a new Start up screen beginning next Tuesday September 3 at all AD sites.  This will be a reminder of the digital citizenship agreement and they will see the message at each start up.  Each user will simply click OK to move forward to the log in screen.<br />

Reminder: Request Moodle Course Transfer to Canvas by June 14th!

Johnston County Schools has a new Learning Management System (LMS) available for all staff and students. Canvas has been adopted as the state LMS and is accessible via the NCEdCloud portal (look for the Canvas icon next to PowerSchool).

Canvas is integrated with the Home Base system, this means that student information is automatically populated into your courses on Canvas. Grades issued in Canvas have the ability to be transferred to your PowerTeacher gradebook.

What about Moodle?

Johnston County Schools staff will no longer have access to Moodle after July 30, 2016. If you have a course in Moodle that you would like exported into Canvas, please fill out this form prior to June 14, 2016.
