Last week the a conversation came up from the Middle School PLC about how to teach Plagiarism effectively to students and help them understand the concept, so I asked them if we could share it as a Media Monday tip so that Elementary and High could have the resources as well.  Thanks to Angela Causby from Archer Lodge Middle for sharing a webquest that she uses with her students;</div>

I'm starting a new part of the blog just for our Media Friends.  I will post ideas and tidbits for media in this area.  I would love for any Media Coordinator to be a guest blogger.  If you are interested in authoring a post to share a tip, idea or just an interesting topic for media, please let me know!<br />

I follow Jennifer LaGarde AKA Library Girl, if you don't follow her blog you might consider signing up for it!  She has awesome ideas!  Today she posted on her blog ideas for building effective book displays in your media center. <a href="http://www.librarygirl.net/2015/11/six-tips-for-building-book-displays.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+librarygirl%2FIzRd+%28The+Adventures+of+Library+Girl%29" target="_blank"> Here is the link to her post</a> and the great infographic she created.  My take away from what she shared was that book displays are a great way to make your media center an engaging space for students and a way for them to explore parts of the collection that they might not otherwise notice.  I know several of you are already doing these kinds of displays - here are some pictures I've seen in Media Centers right here in JoCo.<br />

I'm starting a new part of the blog just for our Media Friends. I will post ideas and tidbits for media in this area. I would love for any Media Coordinator to be a guest blogger.
