NCSLMA Awards, Grants, and Scholarships are open for submissions!


Check out the many opportunities for school librarians/ NCSLMA members:

  • The "Better Together Grant" for K-12 NCSLMA member media coordinators (certified or provisional) to work collaboratively with classroom teacher(s) for innovative projects that foster the integration of media / information skills into the K-12 curriculum. The focus is on individual media coordinators and teachers rather than on district-wide projects. Up to three (3) one-year grants totaling $1,000 each will be awarded.   • First time NCSLMA conference attendees can apply for a $500 travel grant to cover costs of the 2022 conference! Apply HERE.
  • NCSLMA is offering $1000 scholarships for school library media specialists currently enrolled in Media program. Apply HERE.
  • NCSLMA Awards recognize and celebrate great media coordinators, supportive administrators, and dedicated state advocates. Nominate someone deserving HERE.

NCSLMA Virtual Chat with Kathy Parker

Connect with librarians from across the state to talk all things school library media on April 20th from 4pm to 5pm. The conversation will be facilitated by Kathy Parker but driven by participants. This chat will not be recorded as the purpose of this gathering is to encourage open discussion in an informal chat between SLMCs. NCSLMA will use Google Meet and you must register.
