edcampCode: Beyond the Hour of Code Workshops for All Teachers
Have you or your school hosted an Hour of Code? Are you looking to do more with coding in your class? You are not alone. In North Carolina, more than 5,000 teachers and 200,000 students have participated in Hour of Code activities. Many teachers and students are interested in bringing more opportunities to code and learn about computer science to their classrooms.
Our next edcampCode will take place on June 13, 2018 from 8:30 – 4:00 in Rocky Mount at West Edgecombe Middle School. An edcamp is a user-generated conference - commonly referred to as an "unconference". Edcamps are designed to provide participant-driven professional development for K-12 educators. Edcamps are modeled after BarCamps, free participant-driven conferences with a primary focus on technology and computers. (via Wikipedia)
