We are excited to say all schools will have cabling upgrades this summer! CNIC will be working at each site to pull 10 GB fiber from the MDF to all IDFs.
Before you leave for the summer, each site needs to verify the MDF room and IDF closets are clear of obstructions. We have noticed more sites using these spaces storage. The CNIC installers must get to the racks and equipment as well as have enough room to set-up a ladder and work in the space. All boxes, carts, and any other obstructions should be removed from those rooms/closets. We recommend 4-5 feet of clearance around the rack.
