This week, we are featuring a new Add-on for Google Docs that allows you to simply and easily write mathematical expressions and graphs in Google Docs. Math folks know that it is not exactly easy to use Google Docs currently for coursework as the math symbols are hard to find and not user friendly. This free Add-on solves that issue and creates a beautiful workspace for teachers and students!
To get started, you will need to open a Google Doc and click on Add-ons-->get Add-ons.
In the search bar, type g(math) then click on the blue "+free" button to install the Add-on.
Now, when you open a Google Doc and click on Add-ons, you will see g(Math) and have two options: create expressions or create a graph.
Both options open a side bar with additional options.
Both menus are simple to input and you can preview your expression or graph before you insert it into the document. Once you are happy with your work, click on insert to place it in the document.
Within the document, the expression and graph act as images, you can re-size it or click on it to edit.
