We would like to thank schools that have successfully updated the survey information and data on your testing devices.  As of today the tool indicates 14% of the schools have accessed the survey and indicated a YES in the MARK Data Entry Complete (or submission status). This is a reminder for those who have not entered/updated the data that the Technology Readiness Tool will close on June 7, 2013.  Completing this task is a NC DPI requirement, so please access your account and update your data by June 1.
Principals should:
1-    Review the survey and enrollment data (under Set-up<School Readiness Survey Questions)
2-    Mark Data Entry Complete (under Set-up<Mark Data Entry Complete) to YES.  . SKIP the Network Information (Estimated) and the Testing Information, it has been entered for you.
Tech Leaders should update testing device data.  Remember, sites only enter data on devices that will be used for testing.  For larger schools, it may prove useful to contact the testing coordinator to get the actual locations and devices that will be used for testing.
Notes:

1-    The existing device data is not complete and must be updated.
2-    Device name should resemble brand and model number.  Ex:  lenovo TC 8183 Y5Y
3-    Location or IP - should be the actual room number where the device is located. (When using the auto populate tool it fills the IP address so edit to room number)
4-    Several devices are showing Windows XP service pack 2 or less…all devices should be on Windows XP service pack 3 or greater.  The auto populate tool does not always mark it correctly. **Any devices marked services pack 2 do not meet the minimum requirements for testing.

If you have any questions or issues contact Michelle Turnage (michelleturnage@johnston.k12.nc.us) or Christa Leverette (christaleverette@johnston.k12.nc.us).
Thanks for your attention to this matter.
