Instructional Technology and Technology Services met this morning and had productive conversations. Here are a few reminders from our Tremendously Terrific Technicians:
• We are still researching ways to correct the resolution issues surrounding the Dell CPUs and the SMARTBoards.
• Please do not reimage machines in the front office area. If you feel a machine in that area needs a fresh image (especially if it has Service Pack 2!), please enter a SchoolDude request so your technician can assist you with that task. There are programs located on some of those machines that will be wiped out with a fresh image.
•Please be extra cautious when working with warranty parts. A best practice is to confer with your technician before swapping out internal computer parts.
•The serial number on the new Lenovo models has a new location! Instead of being located on the right panel near the front, the serial number for the new Lenovo computer models is located on the right panel near the back.
•When your school receives new iPads, please enter a SchoolDude request for your technician to handle the iPads first. Each iPad must receive the proper profiles before being sent to the new owner.
