<li>We were able to find what is causing the Google reset passwords within our sync.  However, the fix is complex - we are working on it and will keep you updated, but we will be fixing it.  This will allow students to reset their Google password and it not be returned to the initial password until the beginning of a new school year. Hope this helps!  Thank you for your patience as we work on it.</li>
<li>Minutes have been posted on the <a href="https://docs.google.com/a/johnston.k12.nc.us/document/d/1_U6z1MSKoIdxBsZf4CQIsd_OrDJaxUcUIwXaR0m9gIc/edit" target="_blank">bottom of the Agenda</a> - please look back if you didn't attend or need clarification of anything that was discussed.</li>
<li>The <a href="https://docs.google.com/a/johnston.k12.nc.us/forms/d/1iPz8WSawoAlswLFKQbdY8SWw-8n2_y_DYJ8vNbhMExs/viewform" target="_blank">Digital Learning Expo form </a>to fill out will be due October 17 and is also posted on the Agenda as well.</li>
<li>We would like to clarify the Technology Technicians Visits.  The visits will be 1/2 day with two technicians at the school.  <a href="https://docs.google.com/a/jcsnc.org/spreadsheets/d/1kSA4DAGC0eEspD48QTnuPyu5rEqbXKfr7M5LZz1kJ6Q/edit?usp=sharing" target="_blank">Attached is the Technicians current schedule</a>.  It will serve you better to enter all IT tickets as soon as possible because some issues can be fixed remotely.  Technicians will be touching base with you upon their arrival.  Thank you. If you are bringing a laptop from your school to the Digital Learning Expo tomorrow, please remember that you must login to the laptop on the JCS network at least one time before it will work off network. At the Expo, we will be using JCC's public wifi.

Expo 411: Everything You Need to Know Before You Present at the Expo!

We are excited to welcome our students, teachers, and the community to the 2015 Digital Learning Expo on Tuesday, October 27th from 4-6pm.

If you are presenting, please see the important information below. If you are not presenting, please share this information with those who will be representing your school.

Where is the Expo?

The Expo will be at Johnston Community College in the Tart Building Great Hall and adjoining media room. Please click HERE for a map of JCC.

The Address is: 245 College Road, Smithfield, NC 27577

When can I arrive to setup?

Please plan to arrive between 2:00-3:00pm to setup your table. Parents and community members will start arriving at 4pm. Your table should be setup and students in place by 3:45pm.

What should I bring with me?

Each school is provided with a table and two chairs. You should bring all materials and devices (fully charged) needed to present. If you require projection, please bring a portable screen or sheet to project on. We ask that you do not tape or adhere anything to the walls. If you need access to power, please bring an extension cord.

Where will our school table be?

Schools are divided into two areas and placed in alphabetical order. Please click HERE for a printable Expo map.

Will there be Door Prizes?

Yes! We will have separate door prizes for JCS teachers and students. This year you will decide which door prize you wish to register for by placing your door prize ticket in the corresponding bin. All JCS teachers and students presenting will receive one door prize ticket for participating. One additional ticket can be earned by completing an Expo Passport.

The drawing for door prizes will take place at 5:30pm. You must be present to win!

What should I do upon arrival at JCC?

Please check-in at one of the JCS tables located at either entrance. You will receive a brown envelope with the following contents:

There will be staff at both JCS tables to assist you with any questions or concerns. Thank you for making this a wonderful Expo!

Information for Digital Learning Expo Presenters---Please Share!

Thank you for your diligence in filling out the registration form for your school's entry in our Digital Learning Expo. We are very excited to see what marvels your students have been working on. We have had several requests for the information that was contained in the registration form so here it is for you! Please make sure the teachers who are representing your school have a copy of this information.

Schools are asked to be creative with your set-up (mascot, Super Heroes, Halloween or other ideas generated from your project). A table will be assigned to your school and labeled when you arrive to set-up. Maps will be available as well. Please make your area inviting and engaging!

General Reminders:

We can not place anything on the walls.

Please do not break down your exhibit before 6:00 pm.

The School is responsible for bringing the following:

Laptop/iPad (fully charged - bring power sources just in case you need them)
Table cloth for 8' table
Projector
Handouts (if needed)
Extension cord
Back drop decorations or white screen to project on (remember not to place anything on the walls)

One table per school

Trick or treat bags for guests

Expo website which will serve as the digital program
