Cartoons are not just for little kids anymore. Cartoons for the Classroom is a 9-12 Newspaper in Education Programs resource that provides lesson plans for teaching different topics such as economy, politics, society, etc. through the use of cartoons. The downloadable lessons are tied to Common Core State Standards and include talking points, links, and additional resources. 

There is also a Cartoon Evaluation sheet for students to use analyze the cartoons.


Along with the lesson is the option for students to be creative by drawing their own conclusions and create their own captions using the current cartoon.



There are currently 289 lessons available.
