Google has launched a new service called Google Photos. You may recall seeing a new folder and icon in your Google Drive for Google Photos. Now you have a place to store privately unlimited high resolution (up to 16 megapixels) photos and videos. Google Photos is available as an app for Android and iOS devices as well.

One of the neat things about Google Photos is that it organizes your photos automatically by the location and time the picture was taken as well as who is in the photo. No more labeling pictures or creating albums for a specific event. Google promises to make it easy to share and publish just the photos you want, when you want them.
