Happy Friday!

Google has released a new app for Classroom!

The app allows you to take pictures with your mobile device and import them into Classroom. You can also share from other apps into Classroom. For example if you create a note or assignment in the Evernote app, you can share it directly to the Classroom app. Future integration with the Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets apps are forthcoming so make sure you have those apps as well.

Besides the new app, the desktop version of Classroom was also updated. There is a new teacher assignments page that allows quick access to any assignment you have given (this shows assignments for all classes). Click the three bars on the top left corner to access the new assignments page.

Here is an example of the new assignments page:

Another new feature is the ability to archive classes. This removes the class from your home page view but you can still access the assignments. Students can also still view the class but cannot turn in assignments.

For more detailed information on these updates, click here to go to the Google Blog.

I hope you have a wonderful long weekend!
