Illuminations provides standards based resources for teaching math through lessons and activities. Lessons: Illuminations highlights the newest lessons posted to the website, however, teachers can also search by grade level and Common Core standards.
Check out this sample lesson plan that includes the objectives, materials needed, assessments, extensions, questions/reflections, related resources, and much more.
Brain teasers is another option under the lessons tab.
Interactives: Illuminations highlights the newest interactives, but just like with the lessons, teachers can also search by grade level and Common Core standards.The interactives consist of over 100 virtual manipulatives, applets and games to help reinforce skills being taught.
Mobile Apps is another option under the Interactives tab.
Along with the lessons and interactive material, teachers can connect with other classes, students, teachers through the various resources and social networks connected directly to the page.
