If you have teachers using Google drive to share documents and one of them leaves our district who is the owner of shared documents (lessons that have been created by a team, etc), those shared documents and files will be deleted once their account is deleted.
To prevent this issue, if you will contact the digital learning team we can easily transfer all of their files to a new owner. If you wait until the files disappear recovery is much more difficult and depending on how long they have been deleted may not even be possible (there is a 5 day window).
Please share with your staff so they know.
If someone leaves the school to go to another school those sharing the document should ask that ownership be transferred to someone who is remaining at the school.
